School Profile
Founded in 1994, Senior High School at Sakado, University of Tsukuba, is dedicated to develop curriculums and subjects according to the needs of the times as an integrated curriculum high school.
As an International Baccalaureate school, UTSS aims to "develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect."
UTSS was also selected for the World Wide Learning Consortium Project for its achievements in the Super Global High School Project.
In addition to the acquisition of basic knowledge and skills, Tsukusaka's aim is to foster students' acquisition of "integrated skills" necessary to become internationally-minded people.
Tsukusaka provides a number of opportunities to its students; lush greenery surrounding their school grounds, practical fieldwork and field trips overseas, interaction with people from different backgrounds, and the most-advanced classes at university.
